Journey and Presley's Carnival Birthday Party

Last weekend was Journey and Presley's Carnival birthday party.  We had 17 kids there and we had a blast!  When guests arrived they had to go to the ticket booth where Kayleigh worked and gave out tickets (one for each game, tattoo and face painting).  Every ticket got them a prize at each game.  Then they went over to the face painting and tattoo area and got that done.  After that each kid went to the craft table where they got to color a tile coaster and then fill a bracelet with candy.   While everyone was waiting for the games to start they got to go to the photo booth to have their picture taken where there were a lot of props and they also got to eat cotton candy and freshly made popcorn and nachos.  The kids all got to go home with their own popcorn box.  Then game time.  We had Lollipop Pull (they pulled a lollipop and hoped for a certain color on the bottom for the most tickets) there they won a lollipop.  Ring Toss there they won an I spy bottle game, Go Fish (they fished with a stick with a magnet and tried to catch a fish for tickets) there they won goldfish crackers.  Tic Tac Toe there they won a tic tac toe game.  Cornhole there they won a homemade bean bag.  Knock Em Down (knocking down cans) there they won a homemade crayon holder.  Fish Bowl (cups full of water and had to throw a ball into one), there they won a free fish. Kissing booth (had to guess how many Hershey kisses were in the jar to win it).  Fortune Teller (got there fortune told in a homemade felt fortune cookie).  So after they played all those for an hour we did the piƱata where I filled up balloons with candy and prizes and they had to pop them with darts.  That was fun, no one was mad dashing for the loot.  Then we had a clown race where all the kids raced to put funny stuff on, a boa, hat, bow tie and then the winner got to pie Brent in the face with whip cream.  The kids loved this part, Brent not so much:)  After that the kids all got to redeem their tickets for more prizes.  We had tonsssssss!!!  We had books, braclets, rings, toys galore!  They loved that part.  After that we did cake.  I made hamburger cupcakes (with brownies on the inside), popcorn (Rocky Road cupcakes, Rootbeer float cupcakes and snow cone cupcakes with lemon filling.  The big cake was filled with caramel apple super yummy.  It was then the end of the party and all the kids got to leave with a caramel apple I made (amongst everything else).  I made ones with nuts and chocolate, sprinkles, graham crackers and cinnamon and sugar, and marshmallows and chocolate chips.  Those were super yummy but no fun to make or clean up after.  Everyone had a blast, one of Kayleighs friends actually said it was the best birthday party he had ever been besides his good friend where he got to stay up til 4 am playing video games.  Can't compete with that:)  Now on to plan Kayleigh and Trinity's Under the Sea Theme which is going to be a swim party.
