What a crazy day...
It all started yesterday when Jordan had complained of a stomach ache all day after a BBQ we went to, he complained later that night that it went to his side and he had a low grade fever. So we decided to see what happened through the night and take him to the doctors this morning. I woke him up at 8 am and had him get in the shower, when I all of a sudden I heard this really loud noise in the bathroom. I went to check on Jordan and he was laying in the shower in a daze. He didn't respond to me the first couple of minutes but when I asked him if he was ok he finally stated I dont know. I asked him what happened, he said I dont know. I immediately called 911 and they came and looked at him and took him to the hospital. After x rays, cat scans, and tons of poking to get blood, they found his appendix to be inflamed. They scheduled him for surgery today at 5 pm. It was very emotional for us all seeing him go into that surgery room, but our doctor was very cool. We just got news from the doctor that the surgery went well and he was in the recovery room. He should be out in about 45 minutes to see us. What a crazy day for us all. He will stay the night in the hospital and be discharged tomorrow. He will not be able to play sports for 4 weeks!! Very difficult for our Jordan, but we will suffice:)

The girls birthday party was a blast! I came home in very high spirits. Our theme this year was Island Princess from the Barbie movies. To start with it is very difficult to find Island Princess anything since they dont make it anymore, so most of my shopping was done on Ebay. I made their cake again, which took me 8 hours! But it was a complete success! The amount of compliments I got on the looks of the cake and then on the taste....people were telling me that it tasted better than the gourmet cakes they have professionally made:) Made it all worth it! Anyways, I made my own centerpieces out of the shells from our wedding which really saved on cost. We had our craft table where the kids were most of the time and were having a blast! We made oceans in a jar, painted butterflies and sea shells, and made fruit loop necklaces. Later we did music which I hosted. We did everything to the Island Princess soundtrack. We played with musical instruments, scarves, egg shakers, ribbons, parachute and played ring around the rosie, the kids loved it, especially the ribbons. We also set up a little oasis to look Islandy and it was a huge hit for all the kids, especially the little ones. We set up a little tent with a mini swimming pool filled with balls and had a cabana tent as well. We surrounded the oasis with a gate to keep the kids maintained and tons of plants. It looked amazing! For lunch we had octupus hotdogs and seaweed (green fetuccini w/alfredo sauce) and fruit kabobs. Yummy! The adults had regular hot dogs though. They got some great presents as always and loved their party. Journey fell asleep very early and Kayleigh and Trinity couldnt go to sleep from all the excitement:) Now to focus on Jordan's birthday party in 2 weeks. We are doing a swim party with all his friends.
