San Diego Zoo in October..A bit behind I know:)

In October, our family made a trip to the San Diego Zoo. We do it every year for our homeschooling field trip. I organize it with usually about 20 families going and we all get in for free. It is awesome! We had a blast, however at the end of the day we noticed a horrible bug bite on Journeys leg. It was so swollen, hot, red, and hard as a rock and was the size of a quarter. We decided to take her to an Urgent Care there in San Diego and while the others waited outside, they noticed were nearly a mile from the airport. It was amazing watching these airplanes go over our heads literally not far from us. You felt as though you could almost touch the belly of these planes! It was amazing! Journey ended up fine but they did put her on antibiotics since the bug bite was extreme.

Birthday Parties in September

The month of September was busy with birthday parties and a wedding. First was one of my best friends grand daughters birthday, she turned one. It was a blast, it was a cupcake theme, they had yummy food, cupcakes and a pinata. I couldnt believe that Kayleigh hit the pinata for the first time in her life. She is usually too shy. Then it was my friends sons first birthday. They had a sports themed birthday with TONS of yummy food and a beautiful cake made by the birthday boys Aunt. It was a blast as well. The kids got to do the slip and slide, which they loved, eat tons of food and just play like kids do. Then we celebrated Brents birthday along with one of my other best friends birthday, Kristina. I made them an ice cream cake made with home made chocolate peanut butter ice cream and chocolate peanut butter buttercream. It was super yummy and of course it was in the shape of a hockey puck:) It was a busy month but loads of fun!
