The Wedding birthday:P

Yes, we had the wedding themed birthday party for Kayleigh and Trinity and the party went very well. However, like any wedding, there are things that I wish would have gone different, but what can I say, I am a perfectionist when it comes to my birthday parties;) There were so many details to this birthday and I will try to post all that I can remember. I forgot to take some pictures at the party, therefore I had to take pictures after the party.

First I had the girls wait til all the guests arrived so that they could make their grand entrance with Daddy in their beautiful wedding dresses. I must admit, Kayleigh had a melt down from all the attention on her, but Trinity just soaked it up and wanted more:) Kayleigh chose the colors and wanted to have all pink and Trinity to have purple so I went with those colors. I made their veils myself and had bouquets made professionally for them, although I did insert the pretty pins inside the roses to give them a pizazz. Aren't my girls gorgeous?!

Trinity, look it her little punch mustache:)

The bouquets are gorgeous!

I had 3 tables set up. One for the crafts, which included face painting, flower making for their bouquets out of tissue paper, guest book, bubbles and toilet paper to make their own wedding dresses. Below is a picture of Kayleigh holding one of the tissue paper bouquets I made as an example for the girls to follow. Also is a picture of the guest book. I had all the kids hand paint in either pink and purple and "sign" their name basically with their hand. I wrote their name in under the hand print. This took 4 posterboards to do:)

The other table was their cake table. I did make these cakes all on my own with the help of my friend Ronnie (she actually taught me how to bake). My mother in law just iced the cakes. Believe it or not, my cakes tasted awesome and I got loades of compliments on them. We had 2 three tiered cakes. One was two tiers made of chocolate filled with strawberries and strawberry glaze. The third tier was strawberry cake with strawberries and the glaze. The other cake had one tier strawberry cake with the strawberries, one tier white cake with the strawberries and the best of all... white cake with a lemon curd creme cheese. Oh my gosh it was sooooo yummy! Trinity's was the purple and Kayleigh's was the pink.

As you can see Kayleigh had a melt down at the birthday song, but she did it so lady like...throwing herself on the floor in her beautiful dress holding onto her bouquet. Trinity on the other hand was soaking up the attention and wanted more:) She really is a ham:P

The third table was basically the guest table for the kids. It had all their favors, plates and silverware. My favors were ring pops with candy bracelets dressed up with purple tule and pink ribbon, homemade veils for the girls (I posted a picture modeled by Jordan, one pic I forgot to take at the party), and bride and groom chocolate lollipops in the colors pink, purple, and white. All guests had their own champagne glasses with their names written in silver embellished with stickers and a bow with a wedding ring (again, forgot to take this picture at the party).

My amazing Jordan modeling the veil that I made for each girl, what a guy, don't you think?

The bride/groom chocolate lollipops that were favors as well, yummy!

The champagne glasses. It took me 3 hours to do 40!
The best part of the party told by my guests was Jordan. He was the waiter at the party and served ALL of the food on a silver platter. I was able to borrow a tux from a friend. Doesn't he just look handsome! Our food was all hor'deourves. We had BBQ buffalo wings, tortilla wraps, marshmallow fruit kabobs, cubed cheddar and pepperjack cheese, mini scones with pomengranate cranberry cream cheese, franks wrapped in crossants, celery with peanut butter and raisins, veggies, and chips and salsa. The food tasted amazing and everyone just loved that they didn't have to move. Friends of ours even tried to tip him, but him being the gentleman I have raised him to be, he turned it down:)

The gorgeous waiter!

I wish this would happen all the time:)

The girls got so many gifts as usual and believe it or not, we had nothing to return or regift, that never happens. Everyone got them something they would use and love. Basically all dress up clothes, Barbie movies and a couple dolls here and there. Trinity was loving opening gifts and Kayleigh as well. Trinity just loved her party and couldn't get enough of the attention going on. The party was a success and I am already planning Journey's (which isn't til next March:P) Hope to see you there!

Raffle for a sick 2 year old boy...please read

A mom from my homeschooling group has a 2 year old son, Josiah, who is suffering from possibly cancer or aplastic (sp?) anemia. The father is unemployed and the mom was due 2 days ago with her unborn baby. They need money to store the cord blood which could possibly save little Josiah's life. If you are able and willing, please go to the blog below which has all the information about the raffling and where you can participate. It is only $10 per raffle ticket and it all goes to save a little boys life. As children in Christ, we are called to help those in need and Josiah's family is very much in need. If you would rather just donate money rather than participate in the raffle, please contact Stacy Richards for her information. Please pass this on to others so that we can make a difference. God Bless!

Jordan Rocks!

Tonight Jordan had his banquet for football. Every year they give out 4 awards to a team of about 24 players. Last year was his first year playing and received Rookie of the Year and this year he got the Vince Lombardi Award, basically the defensive MVP (that is how Brent explains it to me since I have no clue who Vince Lombardi is). I was so excited to see him get ANOTHER trophy. Funny too, we just threw 3 of his trophies away last week (they didn't mean anything) and now he got another one which will be kept for the long haul. We only keep the championship trophies and ones where coaches specifically give one to him. I think he has at least 10 trophies and about 15 medals! The boy has done awesome athletically:) Sorry had to brag, but it is so much fun to see your child excel at something, especially when it is at something he loves to do.
