How embarrasing!!!
Oh my gosh, today I had tons of errands to do so I wore my worn out pair of pants to be comfortable in. Now I knew they had a little hole in the croch, but that was ok as long as I kept my legs together. So I went everywhere....post office, Stator's, Costco, Target, the bank, you name it I went. Well as I was getting Jordan ready for his soccer practice I noticed I had a rip from the middle of my butt cheek all the way to almost the front of my pants!!! I asked Jordan why he didn't tell me about this rip and well...of course Brent and Jordan just laughed nonstop knowing that the whole world saw my rear end today. I guess looking on the bright side, at least I wear briefs and not thongs anymore:) Then the whole world would have since my white rear end, rather than some black undies with a little skin:) Tonight I will be saying farewell to my comfy pants:(
What Mowy puts up with:)
Kayleigh's cat, Mowy, puts up with so much from both of the girls. Kayleigh is constantly treating Mowy like a baby. She put her in her baby doll bed and the cat actually used the pillow inside the bed and went to sleep. She stayed their for a good hour or so just sleeping away. Kayleigh will even put her in her huge dollhouse on the big bed and have Mowy sleep there. Just recently, Kayleigh put Mowy in the bath with her. Now of course she didn't like that! She got out as fast as she could, but it was pretty funny:) Kayleigh will put her in her baby doll stroller and stroll her around the house or put her in Journey's swing and have her swing. I have a picture of that, but I still need to download them onto the computer. What a great cat for the girls!

I got sleep!!!:)
Yay last night was the first night I slept since Journey has been born. Journey and I went to bed at 11:15 pm and I promise I don't even remember my head hitting the pillow that is how fast I fell asleep. Journey woke up at 2:30 am to feed and went back to sleep 15 minutes later! Then she woke up at 4:30 am and went back to sleep 15 minutes later again! Then she slept til 8 am:) So happy, but believe it or not I am still exhausted. I think my body has a lot of making up to do, but this is a good start. At least today I won't be running on caffine.

The girls keeping busy

What is sleep like, can anyone tell me?
I am so tired. Journey seems to have an every other goodnight sleep. Well last night was her "goodnight". Meaning I get 3 to 4 hours of sleep and about 30 min of up time. Not bad, right? "Bad nights" are sleep for about 45 min and up time for 1 1/2 to 2 hours! So last night Journey was sleeping good, however Kayleigh decided to wake up at 4 am, which happened to be the time that Journey went back to sleep. Brent took over her for some time, but for some reason Kayleigh wanted to cuddle with me on the couch! I am so tired and can't remember what it felt like to sleep a good sleep.

So tired
It has been a busy day for me today. I cleaned my house, homeschooled, put a huge order in for my Gold Canyon which literally took me 3 hours it was that big (I believe it was about 180 candles or more!) , paid bills, and cooked dinner while chasing after Kayleigh and Trinity and attending to Journey's needs. To top it off, Brent is at a Delirious concert tonight with Russ. I haven't really seen him the last 3 days. Monday he took Jordan and picked him up from soccer practice, Tuesday he went to the library to study for a test that he took today for work (which by the way he passed with flying colors so now he can sell life insurance), and then tonight he is gone. Tomorrow I am taking a break from the kids and going to pie with my girlfriends. We were supposed to go 2 weeks ago, but Journey decided to make her Grand Entrance in our world:) So Brent and I need some desperate date night together which we will get on Friday through our homebuilders (a bible study for married couples), although then he leaves me again to go play basketball at church:( I miss my hubby:( I am waiting patiently for 9 pm so that Trinity can go to bed and hopefully Kayleigh will go to bed early tonight too:)

Another championship!
Jordan wins another championship! Jordan's basketball team took another championship again this year. Him and his best friend, Jared, played another year together and went all the way. We didn't think we were going to win though. We were down by 18 points in the second half, but came back to win by 4, amazing! Our boys all worked great together and loved playing together as a team. Not to mention our great coaches. They really had a heart for the boys. In the first picture, Jordan is the second from the left and the one at the bottom, Jordan is the third one from the right. You would think he wouldn't be that great in basketball since he is a bit short for basketball, but seriously Jordan is quite the athlete and is amazing in the game, as well as any other sport he plays.

What a crappy night....literally!
Last night was a crappy night for Brent and I. First of all the night before we both got no sleep. Journey was up every 45 minutes and would stay awake for an hour at a time, plus Kayleigh got up at 5:45 a.m. So last night we were both exhausted looking forward to going to bed. Brent gave Trinity a bath while I pumped the milk and when I was done he got Journey ready for her bath while I got the bath water ready. All of sudden he is yelling and laughing that Journey is pooping and peeing all over him. Too funny! So thinking she is all done, he walks her into the bathroom, but before he could make it, she started pooping again all over my carpet! I couldn't help but bust up:) Then he finally gets her to me and before I could get her in the bath, she starts pooping and peeing all over me! I was laughing so hard that I peed all over myself!!! Having 5 kids there isn't much holding it in anymore:) So here I am sitting on the bathroom floor with Journey's poop and pee all over me as well as my own ;p Totally gross, so you would think that would end our night...NOPE! Brent goes to move Kayleigh from our bed into her bedroom, well Kayleigh peed so much in our bed that it went through the mattress cover pad! So he got her up and got her in the shower. About an hour later, Trinity wakes up screaming bloody murder which is very unusual for her. I decided to go in and hold her, thinking she had a dream, when I put her down I noticed that she had soaked through her pj's and needed a new diaper. Then....yah that's right....then, I am feeding Journey and Journey decides to spit up all over herself as well as me, so we had to change her and myself. Again it was a crappy night last night! But it was humorous at the same time:)

Valentine's Pics
I thought I would finally post pictures from our Valentine's Day parties.

This is Kayleigh posing in front of her overloaded decorated cookies at one of the parties we attended. We had a party for her co op and a party for Jordan's homeschooling group the same day.

We lined up all the valentine's day bags the kids made and had them put each of their valentine's day cards in one another's bags. Trinity had a blast. She couldn't wait for that sucker:)

Poor Jordan had to endure the party for Kayleigh with a bunch of 3 year olds. But I must admit he does like hanging out with the girls in the park and playing. He is really a great big brother!! See how he is just hanging out with Kayleigh.

These are the two bags the girls made. Trinity's is the one with the white and pink heart and Kayleighs has both pink hearts. Both of the girls decorated theirs all on their own, all I did was help Trinity put the glue on the hearts.

Kayleigh and Trinity chowing down on the party's snacks. Trinity seriously cleaned her plate:)

God us blessed us so
God has truly blessed us with 5 amazing children and a happy life. Granted Job may not be earthly present, but he is definetly present in our lives every day and I am blessed that God chose us to be his Mommy and Daddy. I look at Journey and the love that I feel for her and our other children is so great, I feel overwhelmed. I thank God for an amazing husband that has been there for me and his children and who provides for us with a lot of hardwork. Brent works 2 jobs, the bank and referring, which has provided for me to stay home with our children. Other than God, my family is more important to me than anything else. Funny how having a child makes you look at life so much different. I look at Jordan, Kayleigh, Trinity and Journey and just feel so much joy. I look at my husband and thank God he is the faithful, loyal, honest, and hardworking person he is. I know this post is oh so sappy, but it feels good to write it all out.
If you were wondering about Journey's jaundice, she is doing great. She will be under the lights today and tonight they are picking them up. She has been under them since Friday night and Saturday we had her levels retested and they dropped by 2.4. The doctor recommended her being under them for 2 more days, but required no more blood tests:) With the jaundice being more normal, she isn't as lethargic as she was. She is now more alert and not sleeping as much. Crazy enough, life hasn't been too crazy with 3 little ones and homeschooling. I was able to clean the whole us through and through yesterday (taking 8 hours!) and still having energy to make dinner. I will post some more pics soon.

Jaundice and Journey
Today I took Journey in for her checkup. The doctor said she looked a little yellow and ordered her for a jaundice test. Today the doctor called and said her level was at 17.8. At 20 they admit them into the hospital, so she ordered lights to be set up in our home tonight and tomorrow we are to take her in for another test. If her levels lower then we just have to keep her under for another day or two. Please pray for our little one's jaundice to go away. I am not to worried since we have all the "toys" ready to go to cure her, but a little prayer won't hurt:)

Welcome Journey Christina!!
Our little JOURNEY CHRISTINA LINKOUS:)

Taken right after she was born.
Taken right after she was born.
On March 2nd at 5:35 pm we welcomed in Journey Christina Linkous weighing in at 6 lbs. 14 oz. 19 inches long. We were supposed to induce on the 9th, however the Lord had different plans and well I think I overdid Saturday and caused me to be induced earlier. On Saturday, Brent and I cleaned out the garage. During the day, I was having to take many breaks since I was starting to feel heavy and cramp occassionally. At the end of the night I felt very wet as if I had peed all overmyself, which I thought I had. The next morning I woke up and was still leaking something, which I then thought was the amniotic fluid. Brent and I went into the hospital and had them test me, but it came back negative. The nurse was very surprised so she ordered an ultrasound to check my AFI, but that came back at a good number, so I went home. That night at 11:40 pm I started contractions and finally went to the hospital at 5 am, but Brent and I waited it out in the hospital parking garage until 9 am when I called my doctor to see if they could induce me since I wasn't progressing. They had me go into the hospital to be checked for dialation. The nurse notice my leaking of fluid and had me tested again, which came back negative. The nurse was not convinced, so determined we retested but in a different way. The test came back postitive for leakage of amniotic fluid, which had them induce me. So there is our story. I am feeling great, however the uterus contractions are killing me, especially being 5 kids in and my back is messed up from the epidural. Journey is doing awesome and sleeps, eats, and pees a lot:)
Mommy on the phone while holding her sleeping:)
Daddy's little girl, she kept holding his finger.
Big brother now has 3 sisters to look after!
Trinity couldn't wait to hold her little sister. She came up to Brent and I with her hands up in the air while grunting. We put her on the bed with Journey and she just held her while tapping on her. So cute!! When we asked for her back, she would tell us no and slap our hands away:)

My four awesome kids! I can just see Job looking down from heaven on his brother and sisters. We are now a complete family:)

Our beautiful little girl:)

Our most amazing doctor, Dr. Christina Lee. If you wondered how we came up with her name, I have loved the name Journey for 4 years and battled with Brent and the family to accept the fact that I wanted this for our little girl. I finally got my way:) The middle name is important to us and we wanted a family name at first, but couldn't come up with one. My mom mentioned naming her Christina after the doctor and so we did. Dr. Lee has delivered both Trinity and Journey and she is the most amazing and compassionate doctor. Especially after my dealings with Job's doctor.

Journey after her first bath with the night nurse, Kathleen. She was the best nurse ever.
My second meal after having the baby, can you tell I was happy. I hadn't eaten since 7 am in the morning and this was taken around 7 pm. 2 meals was easy to get down.
I had an epidural which caused literally my whole body to go numb. My chest was heavy and I was having trouble breathing so they gave me some oxygen. Brent thought it was a cool picture to take.
This was taken right after we got home from the hospital on Sunday from being checked out the first time. I didn't gain much weight, thank goodness, and of course never got really big from the baby. I have always carried every baby small for some reason, but pretty cool since I don't get any stretch marks and crazy jelly stomach.
Hope you all enjoyed pics and the story of our new addition to our family. We will keep you posted with pics. My life will be insane trying to handle 3 little ones while homeschooling and being a housewife, however it will be well worth it:)
