Journey's 1st birthday party

Our baby girl Journey turned One on March 2nd. We had a very small and intimate birthday party for our closest friends and family. I went with the theme of chocolate and pink polka dots. I had bought Journey's dress for our christmas pictures which went great with our theme along with her big poofy bow. I cut out over 2000 polka dots and streamed them with brown and pink ribbon. I hole punched many polka dots and spread them as confetti on the tables. Then there was the cake. I made a three tiered fondant cake (homemade by the way). The bottom was white cake with raspberry mousse, the second tier was lemon cake with lemon curd filling and the top one was yellow cake with a chocolate heath filling, again all homemade. Thanks to my dear friend Ronnie who helped me out. The final result was beautiful! Journey got many wonderful gifts and loved all the attention she was getting!

Update again?!

So busy around our house all the time. Well Jordan won his basketball championship through the city with his BFF, Jared. These two boys when they play together it is so fun and exciting to watch, they really are amazing not only individually but together!! They rocked! This is their 3rd year in a row to win the championship together. Today Jordan plays his championship game for his school. I dont have as much fun watching him in that league since he is so hesitant to play. He is afraid to mess up and the coaches take him out of the game, so he plays too safe. However, yesterday I told him to forget all of that, the coaches the players, everyone, and just play like you know how to play. To play with his instincts and oh my gosh he did amazing, it was very exciting watching him play.

Everyone is pretty much in better health except Jordan. I took him to the doctors and he has bronchitis and an ear infection. He is on antibiotics and doing much better. Jordan is now playing soccer for his club team and has been scholarshiped in which was great news for us. Journey turned one on March 2nd and we had a party for her, I will have to post pics soon, when I can get them uploaded to the computer. I will do my own post later about the details and fun of the birthday party.

Things have been tough financially for us especially with state and feds dipping their hands further into our pockets. The property in Colorado is killing us and I am praying to get rid of it SOON! Other than that, I am blessed with the family I have and love being a mom and wife!
