Sick days

Again our household is crazy with the flu. It started off with Journey on Monday night throwing up and having massive diaherra. On Wednesday she spiked a temperature of 102 so I took her in but the doctor said it was just virul. Well late last night I got really sick and vomitted as well. Then around 5 am, Kayleigh woke up vomitting. So today, luckily Brent was off from work, Kayleigh and I just laid around trying to get well.

I think they found something:)

Kayleigh hiking up the driveway. They love to hike up to the house in the picture (the neighbors). There is a crazy swing up there that you jump off a rock and going swinging over the mountain!
A week ago, we went up to visit my parents as a family. We really went up there so I could get my hair done, but also to relax. I love going up there it is so peaceful and it brings back so many memories. We were only up for one night, but it didnt seem so rushed. We plan on doing many more trips like this. The girls love to go searching for lizards with Brent (yuk!) They even caught 2 and put them in the bathtub. They love to go hiking and to get all dirty. Also, my parents have this enormous bath tub which everyone loves to go up and take a very relaxing bubble bath with the jets on while you watch some television (they have a television in the bathroom). Amazing!

Jordan's New Orleans Hornets Birthday Party

Jordan's birthday party was an absolute blast. I think it probably one of the funnest he has ever had. Maybe it has something to do with the age. They ran around and played some football, then they came and munched on some food. After they refueled their tanks they went to the swimming pool for a little game of swimming pool basketball. They had a blast! After the pool, we had cake. The conversations on the cake were hilarious. Of course Jordans favorite team is the New Orleans Hornets, he can't stand the Lakers, which most of his friends love. So a little debate went on amongst the boys. After my very yummy cake (white cake with strawberry cheesecake filling, Jordans choice), the boys headed down to the basketball courts to have a fun game. I watched them for a bit and oh my gosh they had me cracking up. Very funny. I will have to post some video of it. When it got dark the boys headed down to the lighted tennis courts for a game of tennis. As a couple of the boys played, a couple of the boys would ride bikes around the tennis courts. It was around 9;30 when all the boys were gone! Jordan had a blast even with having just had surgery 2 weeks ago. I love the friendships he has made at Vineyard. They are really a great group of boys with a heart for Jesus and great character. I hope Jordan keeps the friendships.

The illnessess in the family spread

Since Jordan's surgery, Journey got sick again with an ear infection in both ears along with RSV bronchitis. She is better now, but then Jordan got sick with a 102 temp for 2 days and vomitting. Worried that it might have something to do with the surgery we are going in to see the surgeon today to have it checked out. This Saturday is Jordan's 14th birthday party, so I hope is better to have fun. However, he will be unable to play football or basketball with his friends since he has to wait 4 weeks to do any sort of contact sport. Hopefully he will have at swimming and maybe shooting around on the basket.

On the bright side, we all got to go up to Big Bear to visit my parents and to get my hair done. It was so relaxing and beautiful up there we wanted to just stay, but had to come home. My hair came out awesome, I just need some low lights now and I will be totally satisfied. Brents haircut came out like a marines. It looked so much like it that when he went to the zoo, they asked him if he had his military ID:) Too funny!!! No worries, I shaved it all off when he came home and looks normal again. I had told him if he didnt shave it, he would have to wear a hat around me, I couldnt stand the look:)
