Christmas 2012

Ok so it has been a lonnnnggg time since I have posted. I really love to keep up on my blog but I must admit I am super busy being a stay at home mom of 5 kids along with homeschooling 2 of them and chasing after the other 2 and then the 16 year old what am I NOT doing for him! I thought I would first start my update with Christmas events since that is of course my favorite time of the year:) I must say the pictures all got mixed up together so sorry but I dont have the time to sort them out, so I will label most of them for you. First we started it off at Logans Candy where we joined our MPACT friends (Christian Girlscouts) for a night of candy making and learning about Christ at the same time.  Then we went to old town Yorba Linda for some annual christmas fun with free hot chocolate and apple cider.  Then our annual christmas party I put on for all our friends and families kids.  This year was snowman theme where we had snowman snacks, played pin the nose on the snowman, knock down the snowman (cans with a ball made to look like a snowball), and we made edible christmas trees and snowglobes and painted ornaments.  We had tons of snacks, hot apple cider and a hot chocolate bar.  We also had a $1 gift exchange for the kids which they loved of course. They all got to take home some snowman soup (hot chocolate with marshmallows, candy cane and chocolate).  Then I had my now annual tea for 3 of my awesome friends.  I made pumpkin cheesecake sandwiches and chicken salad sandwiches, pear candied walnut salad, blueberry scones, mini apple pies, mini pumpkin cheesecakes, and mini chocolate cupcakes with peppermint icing.  We had a gift exchange where we had to exchange a christmas mug or tea cup while we played the left/right game to Twas the Night Before Christmas.  We had such a great time we plan on doing an annual Easter tea as well.  Then I made a birthday cake for Brents boss, it was pumpkin cheesecake filling, super yummy and they loved it! Then we did Santa pictures which we have been taking pictures with the same Santa since Jordan was 2.  Then of course Christmas at home and Christmas up in Big Bear which was awesome with the amazing snowfall:)  So enjoy there is alot to look at:)
